Q'o'da'Day

“The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue center light pop, and everybody goes "Awwwwwwwwwwwww!”

Although I have always loved the poetic imagery of Kerouac's words, I also realized today how incredibly selfish they are. For me "the only people" are, and must be, everyone and anyone God chooses to place in my path.

One of my favorite things about being a Christian is that I do not know, or concern myself, with my fellow Christians' social status, political views, or intellectual prowess. We all share a common faith, a common hope, and a oh so uncommon love.
