I once wrote this in a paper in my undergrad years: "The Evangelists painted a picture of Christ in the gospels not because they wanted to prove that Jesus was the Christ, but to present to the reader Jesus, who is the Christ." What JSW said reminded me of it.

I must admit,(in regards to your comment) I might have stayed Protestant if I had known most Catholics were this deep, as well as bright and witty
