I just left this comment at my friend Frater's site, but as I've always been a little proud of it, I thought I'd mention it here. Although an actual event, it is also from a scene in a lil' comedic screenplay I have been working on for about a bazillion years.
Someone once said to me, after I had mentioned I was a Christian:
"ugh, the opiate of the masses !"
to which I replied "Karl Marx"
"Right" he happily answered
"No, I mean, isn't Marx the opiate of the masses?"
said I, with a grin.
