not, at the Mall, on the Mall

Just remembered to check to see what movies are playing this summer for the annual Screen on the Green ,movies and mosquitoes, on the National Mall. The choices are O.K., but I kinda prefer comedies or musicals for this kinda event. Being a guy, I of course want to see the second selection, with the last one also being an easy choice (regardless of yer gender) . Maybe we can even get DC's latest transplant to come eat some of Orville Redenbacher's finest with us.

July 16 - Annie Hall (1977)

July 23 - The Thing (From Another World) (1951)

Jul 30 - Wait Until Dark (1967)

August 6 - All the Kings Men (1949)

August 13 - Casablanca (1942)

Trivia : 1)Name the movie the nice folks are watching above
2)Who plays "the Thing"? (and no hitting the link)
See ya at the movies

Well, I guess I will put off visiting since these flicks just don't move me. Do the organizers take suggestions? How about: All the President's Men or 3 Days of the Condor or Bridge Over River Kwai, or Hopscotch ... oh well, this summer is pretty busy, ya' know, tending the back 40 of green acres and all.

I agree that they aren't overly inspiring. They have shown "The Thin Man", "Rocky","Mr. Smith Goes to Washington", and some Hitchcock in the past.

American City Diner near me, shows free old movies every night, kinda fun in Spring or Fall, as it's open air too.
